The developers went out of business and closed down. Their webpage, was up for some time, even after they closed down. In that webpage, they hosted TWO FILES, UPDATES, to the "Director's Cut" edition of the game.

One, is: Scratches-dc-patch. A 1 MB file, which says upon execution... "The following setup wizard will patch your copy of Scratches Director's Cut with the latest fixes and improvements".

And the other, is: Scratches-dc-update. A 497 MB file, which says upon execution... "The following setup wizard will update your copy of Scratches Director's Cut with sharp and vivid new graphics. You must have the original game installed in your hard drive before proceeding".

Both refer to the Got version of the game (must be the physical retail one, which is also the same it flies over the internet torrented). I managed to get those back in the day, just when Nucleosys went out of business, from their official webpage.

Does the GoG version contain them integrated in it? I personally try them now as we speak. The patch does not work, it does not recognize GoG's version as a normal, Got, Scratches Director's Cut installation. While the update claiming to tweak the graphics, does install. Please, someone who knows, from GoG, reading this can reply?

This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
If everything else fails you can try asking Agustín on or shooting an email to him over @ [url=http://www.senscape.net/]senscape
Done. Sent them an email. But i seriously doubt this is going to solve ANYTHING. Me thinks i have to redownload the piratebay version. There, both patch and update work clockwork. This is not pirating, though. I already bought the game here on GoG. I am "pirating" it, so i can unlock the features these files here, patch and update, do... GoG does not feature these files, and even if i have them backed up, they are incompatible with GoG version.

From what I can remember (American Versions)...

The original Non-Directors cut had the front doors handle on the right, key works you go on about your way.

The original Directors Cut had the front door handle on the right, but were you actually put the key and were you actually grabbed was on the left.

The first little patch fixed that...the door handle is now on the left and opens as it should. The door animation is even flipped (not sure of any other little fixes as that was the major issue that stood out).

The next big update upped the general resolution on things making things look nicer and mostly overwrote the original install.

The GOG version has these updates already incorporated...
No. Not only. One of them fixed the game, because for some reason, the second ending although present, was inaccessible. GoG lacks one of these for sure.

The fixed version in which you could access 2nd ending, had a choice of lines at the dialogue with retired police chief.
