During the last phone call Jerry told me to check the fuses in the basement, and so I did - now I want to call him again, but the line is busy.

Are there any other things I need to do before I can make the call? For example I could not call Barabara regarding the Italian letter before I had called Jerry regarding the electricity...

He already told me about the murder and wants to give me the combination to the safe on the next day. In the game it is Saturday 4pm, which means that I cannot sleep ("I never fancied naps"). I have even looked up walkthroughs, and it seems I have done what I can do that day - except for the call and the actions directly resulting from it.

The game relies quite a bit on triggers so in situations like this where you're stuck someplace because you missed one a walkthrough won't be much help since it won't tell you which triggers there are or which one you missed.

Anyway, if you're supposed to call Jerry to tell him that the fuses are ok:

-Make sure you have fliped both switches in the basement
-Make sure you've read both diaries - one in the study another one in the living room ( you don't have to actually read them but you do have to flip all the pages)
-Put the letter for Barbara in the mailbox (there's a note from the electrician that's supposed to be there at some point although i'm not sure exactly when, check if it's there and if you can call Jerry after that)

If you've done all of that already and you still can't move on you'll probably have to go over the house again examining everything you can and hoefully you'll hit the trigger you're missing.

-Make sure you have fliped both switches in the basement
That was it - when examining the fuses I got the "Everything seems to be okay" message, so I did not even notice the switches *shame*

Thanks for your quick and effective help!
