How's the censorship status as compared to steam? Does it hide anything from the original release? I've played the Japanese version and would buy it here in English as well if is uncensored.

It's totally uncensored and includes anything and everything from the original release. Though if one wants it's possible to censor the nudity or gore anything you want.
