Hi there!

I got a strange issue while playing this game. Whenever the game tries to display text like the subtitles while interacting, the game lags until the subtitles disappear. The same happens when I go to the main menu and click, for example, "Settings". In this last case, the game lags until I click Main Menu and the text disappears.

I tried compatibility modes 95, 98 and XP SP2. I tried reducing the "performance" setting in-game to the minimum. I also tried forcing 640x480 screen resolution and using 256 colors.

I know it's just the subtitles and menu texts that's causing the lag because I tried disabling the subtitles while interacting and the game no longer lags when the main character talks but if I reactivate them it lags whenever subtitles appear (except during the intro cinematic).
I also tried executing sntrm.exe directly.

I'm using Windows 10 and I have both an AMD GPU and AMD CPU.

Couldn't find anything about this specific problem searching the forums. Any ideas on how to solve it?

Ok, so I got it working :D

Just executed the game with the parameter "-e" to emulate DirectDraw (I think?) and the lag is gone, forever!
