GOG, get the developers to fix this!

This game demands that I install a update to Windows 7.
I don't have the free space on my C: drive to do so.
SRIV gives me a api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll error instead of running.

Let's get something straight, very few programs have ever really required a windows update to run and this one is no exception, this is the programmers getting lazy and not disabling a version check for Visual Studio updates.
I've seen this problem pop up in several games recently, and every time it has been fixed on the developers end. Do not under any circumstances lie and tell me I need to change my system.

GOG, get the developers working on this!

Why you not wish install this update? (unpacked size 5mb) Or you can manually unpack this update and put the DLL to Saints Row 4 game folder

The 2999226 update is the one I mentioned in passing in the OP.
"This update is not applicable to your computer" is the response I get when it runs.

I got this series of errors from Fallout 4 when it first came out as well, an update or two later and I can play the game just fine.
It's a developer side problem, not one on my system.

If you are curious about the series of errors, go google them. The .dll and MS update id are above. I have put enough time into trying to fix this that I realize it isn't my problem, it's the developer's problem.
I had a similar problem with Skype. You can try to put all these files into "Saints Row 4" folder, this can fix the problem. Or wait for patch)

Thank you very much! That indeed fixes the problem.
