Hello fellow GOG'ers,

I was wondering if anyone had the same issue. I can get to the main menu, but when I click New Game and Choose a Difficulty the game crashes to desktop.

Specs: Win7 64 bit, i7-4790k, GTX 970, 24 Gigs of RAM, Multiple Hard Drives, One Monitor.

Tried: Running out of box, with GOG Galaxy and without. Tried Compatibility Mode XP SP3, SP2, windowed mode, tried turning down specs. No mods used so far.

I'm having similar issues

Win7, 64bit - I can play SR3 via steam just fine...

Though for me the game insta-crashes when I try to start it.
Try removing any USB devices from your computer which are not necessary to play. I have a Sega Saturn controller adapter which I usually only need for my fighting games and console emulators. After I unplugged it, the game launched normally.

Removing extra usb devices worked. I came across that answer with a second look at pcgamingwiki.
