DrJeckyl2: Sacred Gold - is there a way to pass items from one character to another?

If I remember right shared stash was only in Sacred 2. You can try starting a LAN server and run the game two times on the same computer. I never played Sacred 1 online so I have no idea you can give items to other players or is it possible to run this game two times but it works on a lot of older games and many newer Unity titles.
In Sacred Gold:

1) Load the game w/ the character who has gear you would like to transfer, and then export that character...
2) Start a multiplayer game, choose 'local network' (LAN)...
3) Your exported character should be visible. Choose him/her and hit 'next'...
4) On the next screen choose 'create' then from the appearing dropdown menu 'cooperative' then 'create'...
5) Your previously exported PC is now standing in Belleville. Drop any items you would like to share with another PC. IMO it is prudent to drop each item in its own space (ie. not in a single pile on the ground), though I don't know if that is absolutely necessary.
6) Save the game. I use the convention [class - #items - item_level] for my save file names. For non-class based uniques, call the file 'unique'. Example: Vampire-4-L18, Unique-7-L25, etc.
This is to help you remember what equipment is saved where. For example items only usable by the vampire class go into the 'vampire' save file, and there are currently 4 items saved there and they require minimum level 18 to use them...
7) Now exit the game to the main menu...
8) Repeat step 2...
9) Create a new character, or choose a previously exported one you would like to give the saved equipment to. Choose 'next'...
10) On the next screen choose 'create' then from the appearing dropdown menu 'cooperative', but this time choose 'load'. Choose the desired saved game from the list, per the guidelines from step 6.
11) Your PC will now be standing in Belleville. The items previously dropped there should be visible. There is a bug (or is it?) where sometimes items that are saved do not appear on reload. So that is why it is important to know how many items are saved there, so you can reload that save file again until all items show up properly. The items are saved, they just don't appear for some reason, so keep reloading till they do. You can drop any items you like from this PC and save them there too, renaming the save file appropriately per step 6 as a reminder.
12) Now export your PC with their new equipment and exit back to the main menu.
13) Your second PC now has the new equipment in their inventory, and you can import that PC with their equipment into any game you like.

Cheers!
