just rebought Sacred, I played it back when it was new but lost my disks ages ago
I was really looking forward to playing Hardcore mode online, but I can't seem to find ANY servers, are there simply none? I did see a few servers when i went to the OPEN internet type, but you cant seem to get hardcore mode that way.
edit - hmm just discovered that ascaron have shut down the closed servers. that sucks, i wouldn't have bought this game if I knew that hardcore mode is gone.

Well the problem is that you can only choose Hardcore mode for Closed servers, and Ascaron aren't running any closed servers anymore.
I can't see any way to create a Hardcore character on the Open system (ie hosted locally).
it sucks bigtime as playing in hardcore mode was what brought me back to the game, can't see the point without that option :(

Its a shame but sacred never really took off like diablo did in multiplayer. Have you tryed turning your character into a hardcore character first by clicking the skull next to them before hosting an open world game?
If that doesn't work the best thing you could do is play it like its hardcore, so if you die you delete your own character with gear and everything, its not ideal but it works.
