I just installed Sacred Gold on my machine and started it up. The intro videos played fine, but when the main screen comes up the text is missing and the mouse pointer is very sluggish. I can click around and hit the button to exit the game, and the "are you sure" dialog also has no text on it.
I tried changing everything in the game's Settings tool to no avail, and I also tried tinkering with the compatibility settings on the executable with no luck. I looked at the Known Issues section in the readme and didn't see anything resembling this issue.
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen, and what I can do to get around it? My system specs are below and I've attached a screenshot of the empty title screen According to fraps I was getting 3 to 5 fps there... ouch.
Any help would be much appreciated.
