Probably not, but with a decent fan base, I thought there might be something that goes beyond the game's own meager FSAA filter (what is it, only x2?).

The only mods I can think of or find that this game got was different character skins, most revolving around the seraphim. I don't think there are any fan-made graphics patches and if someone has made one hes done a good job of hiding it.
I'd kill for just a better Anti-Aliasing filter. Is there a way to hack the game into increasing it from it's base x2 filter?

If your using an nvidia and possibly an ati graphics card you could go into their control panels and try forcing those settings on the game.

No, if you do that, you run into issues with the 2D elements of the game (lines and boxes everywhere).

You can get rid of the lines (at least on Nvidia cards) by setting "Antialiasing - Mode" to "Enhance the application setting" rather than "Override."

Forcing AA also boosted my frame rates for some strange reason.

That worked great, thanks!

That doesn't help when the in-game AA option does nothing (which is a problem for me and hordes of other users).

Yeah, it does nothing for me either, but by forcing AA in the Nvidia control panel and selecting "enhance the application setting" I still get AA without the annoying menu lines in game.

Hm, that still doesn't work on my end (using the latest drivers). No AA unless I override the application setting. Annoying.
It worked for my W7 x64 setup by setting the AMD Radeon 6870 Anti-aliasing to 8x. Now the game looks much smoother, no jaggies :)
