...really well. "Rune Classic" is a disaster. Get it on sale and Rune Gold is worthwhile, but don't expect much from Rune Classic--it's pretty rotten. Have to say this is one of the worst-supported games I've ever seen--again, though, Rune Gold alone is worth the price of admission, imo. GOG would be better off just dropping "classic" altogether. Rune Gold runs fine in Win10x64--but not "classic"--what a waste...;)
go to this website and use the directdraw.dll method :)

sorry I forgot the link :)

Wow...just checked this thread again...listen, thanks for the tip--here's what I discovered from your info...The Windows 8 DDraw runs very poorly in Classic with Windows 10x64 14986.1001, R9 380 4GB Crimson ReLive Drivers 16.12.2...the Win8.1 Ddraw.dll doesn't run at all...!...;)

HOWEVER, your post encouraged me to try the new Crimson drivers with the standard system Ddraw.dll (ie, you don't have to do anything to use it because it installed along with your GPUdrivers, etc.) and bingo--for the first time Classic is running extremely well (so far) in Win10, no custom ddraws in the system dir needed! So thanks for the tip--even though the older ddraw.dlls didn't work, if it hadn't been for your post I doubt I'd have looked at the game again and tried the standard install once more!

Thanks again...I always enjoy when things work as they should...;)
