I've been hearing good things about this game so I've decided to pick it up when it appeared on the daily sale. I've got to say that I'm enjoying the vintage graphix immensely so I'm not complaining, but honestly I've been expecting some manly Viking skull-smashing right from the outset. Instead, I'm relegated to Tomb Raiderding my way out of some caves for what feels like hours already. No skulls to smash, but plenty of mudcrabs and those darn barnacles, which my schoolmates used to call 'dickheads'. And they were right... I remember Rune getting serious hype in the gaming mags back in the day, but fading quietly after release. I think I'm starting to see why.
The game is a journey with twists and turns in the story and the direction of the environment. Keep at it and you will be rewarded.
