I keep having invisible objects in my levels, e.g. Mushrooms. From what I can tell, any object might be affected.

They are simply not being rendered although my Viking collides with them. Seems to be random, quickload fixes it usually.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah I have the same problem, was hoping someone would have a fix for it :/
damn it...
So... Any solution?
Hi guys. I experienced the same issue and found out that the best solution (at least for now) is to install Rune Gold and tweak it with Direct3D 10 support files + RuneHOV or Widescreen.
You can find everything in detail on this webpage: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Rune - Look for the "Essential improvements" section and "Widescreen resolution" under "Video settings" where you can find link to http://www.wsgf.org/dr/rune which has that widescreen support.

After that I see that the game runs much much better with occasional graphical glitches, but those are minority. It also depends on what setting you prefer in game when you hit "Advanced Options" under "Game" tab. There you can find "Rendering" section and choose whatever suits you. You have to play with that a bit to have some results. For example I have mine set like in the attachment I uploaded.

Beware that Save on Classic is NOT working under Gold, which means that either you have to play from scratch OR do it like myself -> Start a new game with difficulty you want and then enable cheats and open a map where you were the last time + summon items you were wearing before.

I hope this helped a bit :)

Sorry for necroing this old thread but I had been looking for a solution to this for a couple of days without being able to figure out anything that got rid of all my issues until just now. Maybe someone else will find this useful.

This is a solution for Rune Classic but I suppose it would work for other versions too if you encounter invisible objects (that reappear when quickloading).

I am on Windows 8.1 so the whole issue started from me having low fps at full screen (around 30fps even though this game should run flawlessly on my system).

I tried the solutions on the pcgamingwiki (sorry can't post links since this is my first post)

The suggested DDRAW.dll actually made the game completely unplayable so that didn't work.

Running in borderless fullscreen did fix my fps issue. After playing for a while however I started to notice objects that were invisible that reappeared when quickloading.

It took me a good while until I figured out that that didn't happen when playing fullscreen with poor fps. So it got me to thinking that maybe my fps was too high now and that caused some issues with rendering.

Sure enough, limiting my fps to 60 with Nvidia Inspector (get it from guru3d for example) got rid of all my issues and I can play normally at 60fps without disappearing objects.

Follow a video on youtube called "Nvidia Inspector - FPS Limiter Tutorial" if you don't know how it works.

TLDR: Limit your FPS, it's probably too high and will cause graphical issues.

Edit: So apparently this only fixed some of it. It's better but not perfect still. This has to be one of the crappiest versions of the game.
