I had a problem with the download as Norton wouldn't let me download the installer (first download) due to "too few users." I downloaded the remainder of the files except for the foreign languages, uninstalled Norton, downloaded the installer, re-installed Norton and file integrity checked out okay and I was able to install.

When I launch, I can choose a character, name and password, then it goes to a black screen with music in the background and the loading swirl in the center which eventually stops spinning and goes to black screen with music in the background.

I downloaded the June 10 direct X download as suggested and installed to no avail. I tried putting it in compatibility mode and running it as an administrator but still no luck.

I'm running Vista on a laptop.

I guess that I'll have to keep this one on the shelf until I buy a new computer someday?

I can't comment Norton issues, because I use another antivirus software.

I have managed to reproduce that black screen thing. It doesn't happen always, but it happens occasionally only when I skip cutscene after I have watched it for a while. If I skip cutscene when it starts or watch the cutscene it doesn't happen.

Thanks for your help. I contacted tech support and they directed me to a site where I could update my drivers and it fixed the problem. Thanks again.
