Hello!

I can only get RCT2 to start if I run it in Windows 95 or 98/Me compatability mode. Running any higher mode won't make it even load the graphics system.
Loading saved games do not work, the game crashes instantly when I select that I want to load a game. The dialog never shows up. The "windowed hack" makes the game open in windowed mode but it crashes instantly and Windows says that it crashed but unable to find a solution.

I'm running an up-to-date version of Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit).
AMD Radeon R9 270X graphics card.

I've checked several threads here on GOG as well as on Steam forums and none of the solutions allow me to load saved games or make it work in windowed mode.
I tried Windows 7 compatibility mode with run as administrator unchecked (properties, compatibility on the icon). This seems to work.

For anyone who cannot start up rct2, there is a very quick and cryptic message about installing "DisplayPlay" when you initially run rct2--probably a good idea to say yes.

(I am not a W8 expert, but please feel free to post any questions or comments)
