I just wanted to ask what happens on the Daylight savings time date? You see when I bought the game as a wee lad I played it all the time and did quite well, think I even unlocked the 4th or 5th to last park, and had one heck of a really awesome, desert park (i forget the name but it had so much purchasable land it was insane).

Anyway I ended up getting on one day and found that all my hard work and unlocks had been erased because there was a bug with the daylight savings time and the game, it reset everything like I had just installed it, and my awesome desert park save wouldn't work because it hadn't been unlocked yet.

I was a tad miffed and really haven't played it much since, so does the GoG version fix this little annoying bug (i'm guessing yes but I want to be sure)? And thanks in advance for any answers.

Which maps was it? If you remember please tell me. I would love to know. :)
As for your problem:
I never encountered something like that, but if you fear something may happen,
just back up your save games, maybe on a USB stick or something.
The save games are in:

C:\Program Files\GOG.com\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe\Saved Games
You may have to adjust depending on where you installed the game to,
but [gamedirectory]\Saved Games is where your saves are,
just back up the whole directory the day the time thing switches.

This bug was fixed long ago and isn't present in the GOG version. If you still have your old CDs, you can patch the game without buying the GOG version. Then you can play your parks again. If you don't have your CDs anymore, you can buy the GOG version and load your parks into it (if you still have the parks).

The patches are here. The original game (no expansions) patch is called RCT-US.exe. The Loopy Landscapes patch is called RCTLL-US.exe.
