does it matter if rides are still running when it is raining / thunderstorming? just wondering if it can ruin your rides or if people will get electrocuted or anything like that lol.

my other question is this: When I build my own roller coasters, sometimes I make them really fast and crazy with
loops and big drops and all the good stuff, and sometimes (in the data results) the excitement rating will be like only 1.20 or something (really low) but naseua and intensity ratings are really high. this happens to me all the time. is it a glitch or is it just really impossible to produce a good excitement rating when building your own rides/roller coasters? I have seriously made Dinghy Slides and River Rafts with higher excitement ratings that custom-built coasters before.

I appreciate the help!!
From what I've experienced, nothing bad happens with running rides in rain/thunderstorms except for the fact that visitors will typically not go on them. Once the rain stops, queue lines fill up again and it's business as usual! You can take advantage of rain by increasing the prices of umbrellas, and I've found that if you're running a park with ride fees (no entry fee) you can get a bit more profit on the indoor type ones during the rain.

If a ride has very high nausea and intensity ratings, this almost always leads to low excitement. Makes sense: It isn't too exciting to go on a ride that tosses you around and also leads to you tossing your lunch! I have the same problem, though... It takes a little time to work out the best ways to make a ride have moderate excitement and intensity with lower nausea. Try to use wider banked turns after going down hills. You can also add in some hills and even brakes in certain sections where the speed might be a bit too high. Definitely pay attention to where the lateral G's and vertical G's spike on your ride. Oftentimes you can just fix a small section of a roller coaster without having to scrap the entire design.

Best of luck!
Too intense rides are not exciting. That's the rule #1. I suggest you should follow the tutorial, it explains the basics physics and how to make your your ride better.
Rule #2: scenery. Just a pure ride is not enough to keep those kids entertained. Add some scenery and your rating will go up in no time.

So the answer to your question is yes, it's possible :)
thanks for the helpful answers!!!
@discoveralbia
I'll definitley have to keep that in mind next time I build a roller coaster...
