dazdraws: Hello, sorry to bother you all but I've had to format my SSD, and I kinda just though my save files would be automatically backed up, just like on Steam... I found out the hard way that nope, cloud saves are not supported for Robocop. So yeah, I've lost 14h of progress, and I just don't really want to start it all over. I've searched the web, I've found a "save file" that gives you a lot of XP but place you at the very begining of the game to simulate a New Game +, I've found saves for Rogue City itself, but none for Unfinished Business. The title is fitting, now that I think of it, unfinished business!
So yeah, if anyone could help me, that'd be very much appreciated! I don't really want to say where I was in the game because I don't know if there is a way to mark it as spoiler, but let's just say I haad just met someone's boyfriend.
Thanks a ton!
I know this is nearly a month old now, but...
I wouldn't normally help out a random internet stranger but gosh dang it you are just so polite that I want your issue solved purely so I can feel like there's some justice in the universe.
I don't know what you mean about 'someone's boyfriend', but I can tell you I just hit the Science Area.
If I'm past where you were, I still have all my saves - so you're sorted.
============================================
If I'm behind where you were, that will complicate things - because I don't want any spoilers (which is why I don't normally help out random internet strangers).
We have a few options
- I can just send you my current save file and you can play on from there. I'd guess I'm about 10 hours in.
- I can keep you posted on my progress (this way I won't risk spoilers) then you tell me when to send you my savegame. This will mean we'll both need to come back to this thread fairly regularly.
- You can find out the EXACT name of the main mission you were up to, and I send you my save file when I get up to it. I'm aware the name of the mission may contain a spoiler, that's fine here in this one situation.
I think that last one would be best for us both, so that's the option I'm following here.
Keep in mind there's no telling how long it might take me to get there. Might be quicker for you to do it yourself! But if it's about saving time for when you DO get to play, I can dig that.
I've put most of my points into Deduction and Engineering and have done every side quest (according to the Evaluations anyway). I've missed at least one of the OCP boxes, which might matter if you're a completionist.
Let me know!
