If it is, I haven't found how. It doesn't seem to appear in the hotkeys menu, and google didn't seem to have the answer.

I could use some help here, please.

EDIT: By "pausing" I mean "active pausing", where the game stops but I can still select characters and issue orders.

Press the ESC button and the game will pause. You can also save the game from there.
More hotkeys like this can be found in the game's manual (separate download).

You can´t do the latter. Would be unfair against the Sheriff´s men and Robin is anything but unfair.

However for some planned quick action the "quick action" of your men can be pre-planned 3 steps.
Just find a safe spot for each of them (e.g. right outside the viewrange of the enemy) and plan ahead.
