I have created a patch that will fix graphical errors that weren't in version 1.0 but introduced in 1.1. These errors involved Misako's Power Bomb and Kyoto's Frankensteiner throws, that would cause common enemies to turn into garbled messes. It might also fix some other moves that I haven't seen because I haven't unlocked their characters.

The patch is still in alpha. I have only tested it with Steam version but I imagine the data should be identical. Still, it would be nice to get some verification. It's possible this patch will cause different graphical glitches to happen, I haven't seen any yet but I plan to tighten the scope of my changes for the beta version of the patch, just to be sure.

I'm guessing as a new account I'm not going to be able to post a link. The topic title over on Steam is the same as here. There's a link there to my Dropbox. Just download the installer into your River City Girls main folder and run through the instructions and it should apply the patch.

You can find the 1.0 of this mod at Gamebanana now, titled Sprite Atlas Fixes.

Barring bugs, I think this will be the only release necessary. There ARE more misaligned atlases in the data but I'm currently skeptical they actually appear in game. They might be old data or something else. I'm not going to touch them unless it's brought to my attention they are in the game. Any other related graphical bugs can be reported to me and I'll see what's possible with them.

Seems I can't edit out the [ALPHA] in the title. :/

Thank you very much for taking the time to come here to GoG to tell users about this patch. I'll make sure to try it when i have the time.

Just tried using 1.0 with the GOG version and the enemy sprites in the school are invisible except for the cheerleaders. So it currently is unusable in the state it is in.

completely invisible? That's surprising. I'll have to get GoG copy someday and try to figure this out.

Yeah, and I tried it a few times figuring that I might of set it up wrong initially, but nope. GOG version does have the broken sprites too as I made sure to confirm that. So I am not sure what changes were made that screw up your fix with using the Steam version here. Something must be different with the sprite sheets is the only conclusion that I have come up with.

The game seems to only be on sale 3-4 times a year, Just a little heads up that the game currently is on sale atm, if that helps or not.
