I got Risen 2 on Steam a long time ago and it was a bit buggy, so I put it on hold and still haven't gotten around to playing it.

Has anything been fixed or changed in the GOG version?

(I don't mind buying it again if the GOG version is better, but if there's no difference I might as well play the version I already have.)

Thanks! :)

Honestly it's probably the same as the Steam version, if you're referring to bugs in the game itself. GOG didn't release this title without it running on all their test machines, but as it's a newer game it probably had few problems as far as technical issues go.

I don't own it at all, though, so it might be better for someone else to chime in.

This game is incredibly troublesome and bugged. For example, sometimes i play and walking from the top of a rock, my character continue to walk in the middle of the sky, and i have to quit and load a savegame to fix it.
I think that Gog version present natively the last unofficial patch (an old one) that fix some problems, the same patch could be used by steam users. Really guys... Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver demonstrated a lack of reliability leaving the game without a definitive patch.

Well there are almost 300 votes for it on the wishlist, so I'm glad it's here, but the stuff you mentioned is certainly some things to keep in mind when deciding if you want to support PB or DS in the future.
