the final boss fight against El Oscuro in ROTT Dark War is literally impossible. in his lair you dance around until he turns into El Oscuro: the Ever-living and slithers off down a tunnel, and then in the Dark Nest you have to kill his eggs and then kill him proper to truly beat the game. But 3/4 of his eggs are hidden behind locked pushwalls with nary a single pressure plate in sight so when he dies and you get the endgame, his son blows up the planet and you are booted back to the boss battle forever until you do it properly.

I did see someone beat him the correct way once, and someone else says you need to rocket jump to reach the other eggs which in Dark War is like trying to beat Doom 2 on Hurt me plenty difficulty. it just can't be done. 2013 fight against the ever living at least is piss easy by comparison to the original and all the other 2013 bosses. I'm sure all other ROTT fans who don't have access to a prima guide (like me) would love to hear how to actually beat the original. any help is welcome here.

I take back what I said. even the 2013 version is fucking hard. El Oscuro can summon his exploding spawn, his telekinesis powers are just cruel and every missile weapon is slightly more effective than bunny farts. I think he can regenerate health too. also his front leg kick attack is not only a one hit kill but the range of effect is MUCH further than his legs themselves. I beat him once before but I can't remember how.

Seriously, does anyone know how to truly beat El Oscuro in Dark War? it would help immensely as I don't know how to get to the remaining eggs. (the first two are at the start down some passages lined with firewalls.)

thank you. I also discovered that the rocket jump area is actually meant to be done by the mercury shoes positioned just under the entrance wall after the GAD stairs. after that and all the eggs are dead just feed El Oscuro Osborne the heads of Excalibats ;) ba dum tish
