I'm looking over Birger's WinROTT page, and a bunch of links go to "Under Construction" pages, and and there's bugger all as far as instructions in any of the WinROTT or GLROTT packages. Am I supposed to put both in the same folder, or are they meant to be used exclusively from each other (i.e. One for playing in "classic '2D'" and the other for playing in "GL" mode)? Do I just copy and past the the wads from the original ROTT installation into a newly created WinROTT folder, or can I just put the WinROTT exe into the original ROTT folder and make a desktop shortcut for it (would that mess things up in case I need to make subfolders for graphic packs or other addons)?

WinRott and GLRott are two separate apps, do not use them both in the same folder.

Say you want to use WinRott, download the archive from Birgers site and extract it to a new folder on your hard drive. All you then need to do is get the RTC, RTL and WAD files from the main game and put them into the same folder as you just extracted WinRott to.

I currently use WinRottGL 1.58 as it runs quite nicely for me.

However, a note for you, some of the archives are missing some of the SDL dll files (I think it's just the GL versions as I'm sure it was glut32.dll that was missing). You can get it from the source code archive though, or from any web search.

Also, although it is a little out of date, you can find some info on Birger's FAQ page.
