Why does this game need access to the Web?

My firewall immediately blocked access to IP 13.35.99.41.

Disregard my previous comment --- after the game's intro video (or if I click to bypass) I get a black screen then immediately CTD.

Windows 10, 1060 GTX, 32GB RAM, dual SSD, blah, blah, blah.

Kinda difficult to wrap my head around such a tiny program (file size) crashing, when I'm running No Man's Sky NEXT, Railway Empire, Space Hulk Deathwing, Deep Rock Galactic and Astroneer - all GPU and RAM intensive games without any issues. For over a year, on the same system.

Web access is for the analytics, so we can improve the game. File size has nothing to do with ability to crash. You mostly mentioned AAA games that most crashed non-stop at release (or still do). Without the crash log we cannot know what is causing it, so please provide more details. Lastly, these forums are abandoned, so please use Steam's or Discord
