Hi,

The issue - the game doesn't see the USB controller. The controller is visible by other games and controller software. Please help? I heard deleting the cfg file helps, but I can't locate it.

My setup:

- This controller: http://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Classic-USB-Gamepad-PC/dp/B002B9XB0E
- Mac, OS X Yosemite on Early 2011 13" MBP
-Gamepad Companion application from the store, in which I test my controller.

I know the game supports controllers in one form or another, but I can't make my controller work no matter what. I hate using Gamepad Companion, because it's glitchy and crashes all the time. Setting the controller up in it is hell.

Thanks,

I ended up completing the game on my laptop keyboard, because the game shows a lot of tips about what button to press. When you see something like "press enter" you involuntarily try to remember what button enter was bound to on your controller. That's how it works when you use joy2key programs.

The creator of the game says he plays on a keyboard and it works fine for him, but I didn't enjoy this at all. Because of how the keys are set up on the keyboard I got cramped fingers. There is no way to change the keyboard layout either.

A nice game, but a proper controller support or at least a way to change keyboard layout would make it much better.

I use a Logitech F310, set to Direct Input (D on the bottom switch). It works just fine with both the Windows and Mac versions of RCR. Most generic controllers use Direct Input, as does the PS3 gamepad.

Well, there is no direct input on Mac. So you may or may not be right.

My iMac (Yosemite, late 2009 model) reads my F310 when set to Direct Input. I've been playing RCR, Guilty Gear X2, Race The Sun, and Shovel Knight with it.
