Hey guys, a newcomer to GoG here...

As someone that played through the RE3 PAL version from release and completed it AND the Mercenary missions multiple times; I was wondering if this release is more difficult than the OG?

I've found that there are many more zombies on Hard mode and that Nemesis takes more shots to down than I remember. I also seem to dodge Nemmy's grab a lot less.

In addition - and I'm not sure if this is due to my choices - but I'd never seen the cutscene in the Pharmacy between Carlos and his colleague before.

I seem to also have access to both the Magnum and Grenade launcher, and don't recall the dart launcher at all.


Could anyone clear it up?

From what you describe its sounds like you've played the game in "easy mode" back then. Access to the grenade launcher and magnum is normal. You'll always get one in the RPD Stars Office und the other in at the power plant. The Dart Gun (Minethrower) is an indicator, that you probably played the game at "easy" before since its only available in hard mode. As for hitpoints: Nemmy has 700hp in easy and 900hp at hard....
As for the pharmacy scene: That is dependend on you choices. If you decide to jump out the window at the newspaper office or hide in the basement in the restaurant, you'll trigger the cutscene in Office were Carlos has to shoot Murphy.
