I tried two types of controllers, a wired 8bitdo model compatible with Xbox and another from Vinik with six buttons for use with Mega Drive emulators. I tested both and I felt the Mega Drive controller was more comfortable due to the layout of the buttons. But it is not possible to change the settings. I press the F1 button and the settings appear but I cannot change them! Can anyone help?

I have the same issue. I use an Xbox series controller. however, when I attempt to rebind the keys in the controller tab no options come up to rebind when I right-click on it. I can rebind the keyboard keys just fine but the controller tab acts like its disabled or something.

You have to right click on the controller option you want to change then click add key. Then it will let you enter the button you want to change.
