I couldn't find an entry on WSGF for making the game work with newer resolutions and was wondering if there was a general file edit for Unreal engine 1 games to modify this.

I wish it used UE1, it would make it easier to run but sadly it doesnt
If you use the 3dfx version you can force higher resolutions with nglide_config.exe.

Open file location and double click on Config. exe, chose Direct3D pres OK. Then start the game in the options menu you shod have higher resolutions.

Yeah, D3D gives only few low resolutions. With 3dfx you can even go with 4k and DSR.
Though so far the game crashes for me after couple of minutes.

edit: It doesn't crash in 1080p it seems. I even played it with Steam Overlay on and recording using nvidia Shadowplay.
