I have this game, and I'd like to run the client through steam, but I can't seem to get it to work. I pointed the short cut to: "C:Program FilesGOG.comRedneck Rampage CollectionDOSBOXdosbox.exe" -conf dosboxRR.conf -c "exit"
just like the shortcut on my desktop, which launches it, and told it to start in: "C:Program FilesGOG.comRedneck Rampage CollectionRedneck Rampage"
also just like my shortcut on my desktop, but I can't get it to load, it just shows some command prompts that promptly disappear. Does anyone know how to do it?
Also, if possible, I'd like to get the icon to show up as well!

Hmm... I just tried it myself and it works fine. I know that if it's not pointing to the right place in "Start in", it will just do exactly what you said. Here's what I've got down, just to double-check:
Target:
"C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Redneck Rampage Collection\DOSBOX\dosbox.exe" -conf dosboxRR.conf -c "exit"
Start In:
"C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Redneck Rampage Collection\Redneck Rampage\"
The other thing you could try is making a batch file instead and having Steam point to that. Then in the batch file you'd have something like:
@echo off
cd\Program Files\GOG.com\Redneck Rampage Collection\Redneck Rampage
"C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Redneck Rampage Collection\DOSBOX\dosbox.exe" -conf dosboxRR.conf -c "exit"
exit
Hopefully, that works out for ya.

it worked!
I wish that games added to Steam in this fashion would also show up on the Steam Community as games played.
Amen!!!
