My external IP address has once again changed, possibly because I restarted my router recently for other reasons. The new IP address is 88.129.57.5.

Pilots: Make sure your mplayer.ini file contains the following meta server address in the MetaServers section:

[MetaServers]
Server=TCP:88.129.57.5:6001 ; Swordfish

Server operators: Make sure your rb2server.ini file contains the following meta server info:

// * * * * META-SERVER SETTINGS * * * *
[RegisterWith]
TCP:88.129.57.5:6001 ; Swordfish

Sorry about this confusion, but I cannot control the external IP address assigned to me by my ISP. >:(

Yes we do! Many pilots meet in an open war server called War@4 every Saturday @4pm Eastern US time. This is a time slot that works for both US and European pilots.
There is also a crowd (mainly from North America) gathering in General deDeville's server every Wednesday @ 8:30 pm eastern time, all are welcome to fly!

Unfortunately, my metaserver has been down for some months for technical reasons. I hope to bring it back up again soon, and will post here when I do. But there are still two other metaservers running! :-)
Make sure you have the following settings in your mplayer.ini file if you want to join the online fun:

[MetaServers]
Server=TCP:rb3d.cloud-kit.nl:6001 ; Rens
Server=TCP:216.18.240.2:6001 ; CamelJock

I have (at last!) been able to resolve the problem with my ISP making frequent changes of my external IP address. After a change of router, I have been able to set up a free Dynamic DNS service with a fixed URL. Many thanks to Rens for providing technical support!!
Furthermore, since the heating season now has started in Sweden, I can run my RB3D server PC on a 24/7 schedule without generating any unwanted extra heat or cost (my house is heated with electricity, which is very expensive these days ;-/)

I know that the URL is a bit awkward, but it's the best I can do :-)

Pilots: Make sure your mplayer.ini file contains the following meta server address in the MetaServers section:

[MetaServers]
Server=TCP:53d7nv1qswb9t00f.myfritz.net:6001 ; Swordfish

Server operators: Make sure your rb2server.ini file contains the following meta server info:

// * * * * META-SERVER SETTINGS * * * *
[RegisterWith]
TCP:53d7nv1qswb9t00f.myfritz.net:6001 ; Swordfish

Good news!
I have been able to obtain a simpler alias for my metaserver URL:
"rb3d.swordfish.cloud-kit.nl" :-)
Once again, many thanks to Rens for providing technical support!

Pilots: Make sure your mplayer.ini file contains the following meta server address in the MetaServers section:

[MetaServers]
Server=TCP:rb3d.swordfish.cloud-kit.nl:6001 ; Swordfish

Server operators: Make sure your rb2server.ini file contains the following meta server info:

// * * * * META-SERVER SETTINGS * * * *
[RegisterWith]
TCP:rb3d.swordfish.cloud-kit.nl:6001 ; Swordfish

Please note that the old URL,"53d7nv1qswb9t00f.myfritz.net", will continue to work. So if you have already updated your mplayer.ini and/or rb2server.ini files according to the instructions from my previous post, you don't have to do anything :-)
