So my computer runs windows 8.....which I strongly dislike. Any help for running Red Baron 3D on Windows 8? I have tried downloading all the Glide Wrappers but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. Also when the game runs it seems to lag pretty bad but then play normally then lag again, it makes playing quite impossible especially in dogfights. Again any help would be wonderful.

Sorry, but I do not have windows 8. Do you have a graphics card or does your computer use an in system card? RB3D does very well with nVidia and ATI cards. My Win7 computer had its own built in graphics card by Intell, and it gave amazing FPS until I was in combat where it would just choke.

Have you tried the game in Direct Draw mode? If you have the same problems then I would say Win8 is the culprit.

Have you tried Compatibility mode? Under Win7, you would right click on the game's programs (Baron.exe for SP) select Properties and go to the compatibility mode.

Also if you are running a glide wrapper try changing the setspeed.exe - that slows your computer down because Red Baron's play speed are tied to FPS, so the game has a throttle to slow the computer down. With better graphics that becomes less necessary.
