Ello. So i know you cant set your own key preferences in game but.
I have a x52 wich i managed to map some keys to like fire (space) and so on but i cant set the time compression. On my keyboard those buttons are diferent from us keyboards. I tried to set language in win 7 to english but that dosnt help either. Even if i set it to english in the profiler for the joystick i get the corect symbols but they still wont work in game. Its way to tedious to play campaign in realtime since it kan take a while to get to your mission point. Anyone got any sugestions?
Shooting here completely in the dark...

For American Keyboards, the keys that do the time compression is the top letter keys and it looks like this:
<tab key> Q W E R T Y U I O P [ ] \

with the [ = slows time back down, ] = speeds time up, and \ = normal speed

it does not matter if you have Caps lock or no, it works.

whereas the Swedish keyboard according to Wikipedia, that top row looks like this:

<tab key> Q W E R T Y U I O P Å ^

Could the Å key slows time back down and the ^ speeds time up?

It might not be the actual character that tells the game what to do, but the key on the keyboard that does.

If not, you can try by running the game and just randomly press keys until the game speeds up, then press keys till the game slows down and then use those keys.

you are correct in your keyes. The problem is that i guess the game registers the keyes as å and ^ insted of the american coiunter parts. to get the [] i have to press alt-gr wich dosnt work. I remember having the exact same issue when the game first came out but that time i solved it by temporarly changing the language to US english wich dosnt seem to work now when i run redbaron in win 7.

Its the only problem i have with the game. i can get everything ellse to work including button mappings and such for the joystick exept for the time compression wich frankly makes the campaign unplayable. dont have the time to let the comp just fly to the spot for 30 mins on autopilot and then home again:)

And i have tried pressing every key on the keyboard with everything working exept timecompression.
Ok so after fiddeling for a few houers with the g15 keyboard i managed to get time compresion to work but... i need to press both buttons at once. they do not allways work. and to stop tc i need to spam them enough times to manually figure out if its on or not. any ideas on that ?
If you are getting the time compression to work by pressing the AltGr + 9 (]) then shouldn't the AltGr + ? (\) work for normal speed?

Oh sorry i should have been a bit more clear. I ment that i programmed g11 and g12 buttoons to work as on and off and that i need to press them both at the same time for the random chanse of starting and stopping it.

i programmed g10 to work as stop compression but nomatter how much i spam it it dosnt work
Hi Deadrat,

Nice to see another RB3D pilot from Sweden! :-)

I started flyingRB3D in 2002, first in SP but since 2003 it has been MMP most of the time.
I don't know any other active pilot from Sweden in the RB3D community, so it would be nice if you would like to get in touch with me. My email is csq_swordfish at hotmail.

Best regards
