I started out with a lot of Fly Now and I've just finished my first Single Mission (crashed on the field, but any landing you can walk away from and all that - anyway, they shouldn't have any trouble reattaching the lower wing). There are some things I'm not clear about, though.

1) Is there any way to call up the mission info while in flight (times, waypoints, etc.)? All I can bring up is the map and I suspect the other info is just stuff I'll have to write down in the briefing room.

2) When you're given a target or location, like the bridge in the Tutor 1 mission, is there any way to tell exactly which one is meant? There are two bridges on the map - from the distance (4 Km) I'd guess it's the northern one.

If there's a way, I don't know about it and have always written down altitudes, etc from briefs. As for which bridge, the map should indicate which one although sometimes with rail yards, there are two beside one another and I haven't been able to easily tell which. That close, I recommend going after any enemy plains approaching.
Thanks!

Apparently there is a line indicating the flight path for the first mission - I just didn't notice it until seeing the map for Tutorial 2 and going back to check. :P

Now I need either a landing tutorial or more change to tip the ambulance drivers.

For viewing your mission in Flight, press NumPad 0 for the map, and then use the "Home" and "End" keys to flip through the pages.

I looked at Tutorial 1 and the line drawn for your flight path is getting lost in all the detail of the map, partially since it covers such a small area, and partially there are so many landmarks in that small area.

I don't know if this is considered orthodox or not and it certainly isn't the way the AI lands but this works for me:

Find airfield and approach head on for landing.
Slow to "7"
Fly really low (but avoid the trees :) ) and just as you get to the landing strip, hit:

"4" for a high stall speed pane (ex: Fok E-III)
"1" for a low stall speed plane (ex: Fok Dr-1)
"3" for most of the rest

When you slow down below stall speed ("1", "3", "4"), pull back on the stick to get your nose up.
When dragging your rear, "tab" to turn off the engine
Thank your ground crew and brag to your fellow pilots about the mission over a national drink (ex: beer if German :) )

Thanks, guys! Being able to check the extra mission info while in flight will come in handy.

Lordhoff - that's already helped me out! On a Fly Now, I had a collision with a Morane-Saulnier Bullet (random opponent) that ripped away my Nieuport's top wing. Your advice brought me to a safe landing :)

Cool; glad I could help.
