Falkus: Does anyone else have any idea what's going on?

ast486: Mine triggered after about 5 minutes.
Maybe it's connected to net worth; hit esc and check top right to see what it's at.

Falkus: It's at 50 mill. I've been doing A LOT of trading and side missions. Still nothing on the main mission. Looks like I'm gonna have to restart. *sigh*

Falkus: It's all I've been doing for the past three or so days now. Figuring the mission might just pop I just kept at it. If this is a game-breaking bug I'm done with this game. :/

EDIT: Apparently, it's a bug. If you warp out of the system while the conversation triggers, you won't be able to progress the main story. It's fixed in the latest patch but if it's "broken" before, the patch won't fix it. I sent the savefile to a dev so hopefully he can help me out.

Yeah hopefullly.

Falkus: They did. Super quick, too. Was a very simple fix, by the looks of it.

Falkus: I've no idea what's going on anymore. I've done side missions ad nauseum and the main mission just won't continue and I've no idea what else I can do.

I've done all the way up to getting the item from the Followers of the Light or what have you (I'm terrible with names), and the AI onboard your ship said she'd use the on-board facilities to improve her scanning range and that I should - in the meantime - busy myself. I've done that. Nothing's happening.

Does anyone else have any idea what's going on?

anothername: Dumb question, but at what point where you able to pick side missions? I have done some stuff on the main mission, but whenever I click to accept a side mission nothing happens; it does not get picked.

Falkus: Whenever. As soon as you dock at a station you can pick up missions. If you can't, it's a bug. That was fixed in one of the latest patches. Head over to the steam forums, the devs are more active there than here, sadly. But they're really helpful and will probably be able to help you out.

Highzenberg: Goddamnit. For the most part, this port hasn't been too bad but this could have been avoided if it wasn't a single slot autosave. :P

I'm actually kind of surprised this didn't come up in their QA. For me, the convo popped up just as I exited a gate: Hold E to answer, and instead get warped back to the previous system - 10-ish hours gone in a single button press. :'(
