I've managed to breeze through Episodes 1-3 today but I'm having concerns regarding Levels 7 and 8 of Episode 3. Since there's no official guide for this game and the Youtubers I've seen playing the game have resorted to downright cheating (using invincibility and level skip) just to finish the game itself, can anyone tell me how to "correctly" finish Levels 7-8 of Episode 3 WITHOUT cheating at all?

Now that's out of the way, I'm glad to have bought this due to the fact that it's on sale as of this writing (or typing?). I never knew Apogee also handled this one. I do remember playing Commander Keen and Hocus Pocus as a kid (both from Apogee as well). Combat takes some learning and games like these encourages patience. Games like these were obviously a product of my generation and I'm glad to be a part of it.

I have some maps here that might help:
http://www.gog.com/forum/realms_of_chaos/level_maps

(One of these days I really need to properly identify which maps belong to which episode and level, and some of them could use notes).
If I'm thinking of the correct levels, they are labeled in the archive "GOBLIN2.png" and "GOBLINS.png"
I would just include them in this post, but they are too big to attach.
I've finished the game on Normal without cheating, and attempting to get every secret, gem, and kill every enemy, but there are a few bugs that don't seem to make 100% completion possible. It is certainly possible to get through all levels without cheating though.

And this is my second favorite platformer from Apogee, after Bio Menace. Those were the games I grew up with, and I still love playing them. :)

Thanks for the maps, I'll try finishing the game without the level skip cheat this time.
No problem! If you still need some help with anything, just feel free to ask!

Mad props for completing the game without cheating, I don't know how you did it. :) I've tried to avoid using invulnerability all the way through, but have definitely used health and gem cheats.

Do you remember the "shifting floor" level where you have to move as the floor moves? I can't seem to get up at one point and am stuck. I've tried waiting around for the floor to come but no dice. Any ideas? Have you been able to get the "flying" debug cheat to work with the GOG version?

Lucky I came upon this message by chance, I've not been receiving any reply notifications. The moving floor follows a certain 'rail' path, which you can see in one of the maps I made, named either goblin2.png, or goblins.png. There are some parts where you do have to wait for the floor to return to you. I think once you start it, the floor loops along the path points, but it may be that you have to 'restart' the floor if it reaches the end. I will test this later and see. Also note that you can always save-crawl your way through the game, since you can save anywhere anytime. :)

I've finished the game without cheats by the way.
