Is there any point in playing with the graphics settings? No matter what I do it doesn't really seem to change anything.

Also it tells me that the joystick is activated but when I try to map it it says joystick not installed. Kind of minor because I don't mind playing with a keyboard but I thought I'd ask. :)

The graphics setting are pretty much useless, I believe they those setting are for dosbox not the game.

I don't know about the control, I like the keyboard set up

Keyboard is what I'm using. Shit, the game is 20 years old and I was gifted it; what do I have to be upset about? Thnaks.
