Hi, does anyone know what are the exact ranges (min/max) by Class for a Level 0 Character's Vitality (HP/LP) during the creation process in RoA:BoD? i'm interested in the exact ranges, not at or about etc. Does anyone know how to retrieve such info using some editor or viewer (or Universal Editor) from any of the game files?

The method used to calculate Starting Vitality in the Dark Eye pen & paper differs from RoA. I'm interested to know for the 2013 3D-remade edition, not Sirtech. For example, by much trial (and process is not easy- have to switch classes to 'reroll' Vitality not just click of a button), maximum Vitality for a Warrior appears to be 34. I have labored much, but I have not been able to generate a Warrior with higher VI >34, but some players are of the opinion that a 36 is the max achievable at the start. Level 0 not Level 1.

This is not covered by any game documentation. In the classic version, there was mention in the manual, but even so only approximations. i'm interested in the exact Minimums/Maximums.

Any help would be much appreciated.

<EDIT>

Hi, I still have not heard from anyone on the issue of max hp. from brute rolling, it *seems* that warrior max is 34, thorwalian max is 36. i could be wrong, but i'm thinking not likely. i can roll for days or even months, it is unlikely i would see a variable.

but i have other info to contribute in case someone looks for info on game maxes. most are tested and confirmed- it's not really hard since in this game u don't need a hex editor. just use a notepad on the char file, a lot of info are sequenced nicely for you :-

1. in this CRPG (not discussing pnp), the max char level is 31. the xp needed to reach this is 46,500. After attaining 46,500xp, your 'Next Level XP' would be denoted as 999,999,999, but it is just to indicate that u have capped. attaining 999,999,999 xp or even 1b xp does nothing, u can't level up anymore.

2. Max Positive Attribute is 20. Max Improved Negative Attribute is 0. When a new level is reached, your +ve att which are 20 will not be a choice among the ones to be improved. for -ve att, the same is true for attributes already 0.

3. For min-maxers wanting to reverse-engineer from potential Lv 31, at level 0, you can calculate max possible successful increases at 31/31 for both +ve and -ve attributes. this being said, you can max out ALL NEGATIVE attributes, but not ALL POSITIVE. so when u get a good roll, try to fill up ur positive attributes, get as many to 13 as possible, *keeping a total negative tally* at -31. of course to get all 0s at Lv31 means u must succeed all level up attempts, but u could always engineer something not all 0s. For positive, never increase something sub-13 when u level up because stats 14 and above can only be gotten from the 31 +ve level-up increases and as such should only be used on 13s/+ to maximize the effect.

4. In this CRPG (this was achieved on the 2013 version once by me), it is possible to roll NATURALLY, Two 12s, ALL the rest 13s, in other words a score of 89 out of a max of 91. i'm not sure if a higher can be generated. could be possible. fyi this roll's negative rolls were not that bad too.

5. Max skill is indeed 18, but someone already told me about this online.

Please note this is only important if u care... i am a min-maxer and i might not be the only one. hopefully this info helps whoever reads this. but u might not be one, it's perfectly OK to create chars any way u want. i enjoyed the 90s sirtech version, but unfortunately in that era it was harder to do the things i do today, also we didn't have so much info on the internet, so i was not able to confirm maxes on the 90s version like what i can confirm on the 2013 now.
