devreorder on github fixes the issue with the controller when playing this version. All you have to do is follow the instructions there and your controller should work.

For people on windows 11, DeviceLister will not work to get the ID of your controller, but as long as you have only one controller plugged in the name of the device should be fine. I.E. Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)
