I just finished installing the game an my antivirus just said it blocked an virus, trojan.malcol and it was located in the rayman forever folders
(c:\program files\gog.com\rayman forever\raykit\mapper.exe)
has this happened to anyone else?
EDIT: i see there are other threads on this :/ anyways i was using norton while others seemed to be having trouble with Avira.

Yup same exact thing happened to me, using Norton as well.
Same thing here, McAfee says it contains "Generic.dx!bb3e" trojan.
ESET NOD32 intercepts the download and quarantines the whole installer as soon as it finishes downloading.

"probably a variant of Win32/Agent.IDISLAX trojan"

EDIT: Someone in another thread submitted it to eset and they confirmed it as a false positive and fixed their program. Yesterday (oct 25th 2011) it was flagged as a virus and quaranteened.
Today it works just fine with not a peep from ESET NOD32.

I would imagine people should submit the files in question to all the the AV programs that are flagging it.

For me too
I'm getting a similar problem.

Everytime the download finishes, my virus scanner complains about a virus and I can't get past the warning unless I select block (versus "Move to Chest" or "Delete).

When I scan the setup_rayman_forever.exe with Avast! (Definitions and Program updated today) it says it finds 4 files with Win32:CIH-G@dam

The 4 files are:
\RayKit\MAPPER.EXE
\RayKit\RAYRUN.EXE
\RayKit\OSD\CLIENT.EXE
\RayKit\OSD\STARTUP.EXE

When I scan the setup_rayman_forever.exe with a newly updated Malware Bytes and SuperAntiSpyware, they both say the file is fine.

I've also submitted the file to Avast.
From a thread back in March, GOG has said that there's nothing malicious about the files in Rayman.

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/rayman/some_exe_files_marked_as_viruses_probably_false_positives_but_still
Avira antivirus also finds viruses in 3 .exe files in the Rayman Forever package for me!
I got THREE trojans in my copy. Destoyed them. My Rayman wont work now ='(
If you even bothered to look, anthonypants posted a link. You can IGNORE the virus warnings, don't do what it tells you to do.
My McAfee Antivirus also claims it has a Trojan horse and deletes it but I mean it's 2016 now while the post is crazily old.
Shouldn't the Game be found to be "not guilty" by now? Why is it even thinking it's a Virus / 4 different Trojan Horses?

thats the thing with a chunk of older games, they pop up as false positives sadly which scares and confuses the less tech savy people, which is a big problem.

which the antivirus programs use a set of defenitions which they use to compare programs too to tell if there infected.
which sometimes leads to the wrong program coming under fire because it looks close to a definition in the database.
which is how false positives came to be, since there not always 100% sure.

one thing to remember, your buying this via gog, gog doesnt release games with virus in tow.
so think about it before you wipe the files.

the easy route to allow these files is to add an exception in your antivirus program.

^w^ goodluck to everyone
