I absolutely hate it when characters in games speak in text boxes or gibberish and text boxes, the latter being worse because it is cheap and cheating, like they couldn't be arsed to hire voice actors or couldn't afford to.

Rayman 2's remake on PS2 has real voice acting for all cut scenes using the actual actors so I was wondering if there is a patch for Rayman 2 that replaces the horrible Tourettes noises the characters speak in with the voice acting from Rayman 2 Revolution on PS2.

Side note: Can we also PLEASE get a GOG PC port of Rayman 2 Revolution? I don't have a PS2 or any Playstation for that matter, other than a PSP and I want to play that game.

I am used to the fantasy language. I heard once the voice overs from the German PlayStation 1 version. Man, it was horrible voice acting compared to the original one. xD

Was it in German? Voice track quality can differ per region so one language's voice acting may be terrible while another is good. It's the reason why the english dubs of Japanese games (and TV) generally suck. I've heard the english voice acting for Rayman 2 via Revolution and it isn't bad at all.

"Tourettes grunts" as I call them (or Speaking Simish if you read a lot of TV tropes) are a horrible trope and I hate it.We see much less if it now outside Nintendo games (Nintendo being the Catholic Church of gaming and its fanbase the Islam) but it has been slow to die. Some people bring it back for newer games like Yooka Laylee and the aforementioned Mario Odyssey and they're stupid for it. If they are making the characters talk, then they should hire voice actors and not make them all communicate by blowing raspberries.

Rayman 2 PS1 and Revolution on PS2, Conker's Bad Fur Day, what we get of voice acting in Mario Sunshine and Breath of the Wild and just last year A Hat In Time are all great for having real voices. I don't mind it so much in FC, FDS, SFC and Mega Drive games as those console's processors could only handle 1 or 2 single byes at a time, nor could you fit voice lines on the cardtridges and floppy disks without it sounding like crap. ("Ghostbusters!", famicom game title screen)

Anyway, that isn't the point. Is there a mod that replaces the horrible drunken talk with the real voices of the PS1 and PS2 versions? It makes the game hard to play.

Yes, you are right that voice acting can be different per region. And of course, while German voice acting is really good nowadays, back in the 90s it was often not full of quality. I haven't heard yet the english voice acting of Rayman 2.

For your question of theres a mod. I don't think so. pcgamingwiki.com does not mention any mod for the language. It only mentions a unofficial Slovak language file:
