Hello everybody,

I'm using GOG.com for the first time and I bought Rayman 2 : The Great Escape. I successfully downloaded the game installer with GOG Downloader, but I can't install the game properly and launch it. It seems like my .exe file to launch the game is always missing. Moreover, when installer fails, I always get "MoveFile failed, code 2" with the file path for Rayman2.exe written above.

I tried many times (I even re-downloaded the installer) to use the installer and it only succeeded 3 times. Each successful time, my Anti-Virus (BullGuard) was disabled and I ran the installer as Admin. Just as recommended by some topics I found while searching for a topic about a similar issue. But in the end I got all the files (I think...) except for the .exe. Due to that I can't run the game.

How is it possible ? Why can't I get the executable file to launch the game ? Is it a problem within GOG.com or is it related to my own computer ? What can I do ?

Thank you for your help...

P.S. : just in case, I joined a screenshot of the installer when it fails. I hope it helps.

If you had actually searched, you would have found your answer without needing to make this thread:

Well, as I said in my first post, I already did that but I retried just in case, but this time I disabled my AV even before downloading the installer. I don't know how a installer is built and how an AV can remove parts of it (or maybe it's because of another program that wasn't running this time...) but it worked after that. I can finally launch and play the game !

Sorry if my post seemed to be a common problem. I will try a bit longer next time.

Anti-virus programs of today are very stingy about particular commands used in installers, some thinking that MoveFile is malicious, hence you got the error because the file wasn't moved due to it being blocked.
