Saw this game appear on gog, had to share my two cents. This is one of those games that you tried to hunt down when you were a kid after playing the hell out of the shareware version. The problem was back in those days it was nigh impossible to get your hands on the full versions back where we lived, since none of us crazy kids owned credit cards and we never could find this game on retail, so you just had to find someone who actually owned the game. Luckily, one of my friends had ordered one by post, and after 3 weeks of painful waiting we got our dirty hands on this gem.
It's a classic shoot'em'up in the style of Raiden, but in this game you could purchase upgrades between missions (levels) to further increase your deadliness. The enemies kept getting harder as levels progressed, never too slow or never too fast, and the game to me struck a perfect balance between challenging and entertaining, something which few modern games can accomplish. The music still plays in my mind every now and then, and the sound effects were good for it's time. The game was lengthy, and you could always replay it with the "elite" difficulty setting, something which we all must have tried at least once.
Damn it, all this nostalgia is making me all teary eyed. I guess I'll have to dish out 6 bucks for this game, if only for old time's sake. this game deserves it
