I installed the game and it also installed Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and when I was finished I clicked play and an error message popped up and it said:

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"

I reinstalled Raptor twice now and got the same error message again.
Can anyone help me out here?

If your on vista/win7 did you install it as an administrator? You can do so by rightclicking the installer and selecting run as administrator.

If that doesn't help could you please post your system specs and OS?

The same problem has just happened to me.

I've downloaded the game from My Account, installed it, and the following happens:

Raptor.exe runs, showing the startup options dialog.
No matter what you choose, clicking Play will bring up a dialog saying:

"Error - This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Clicking OK causes everything to stop.

My machine is running XP SP3, with 2 gigs of RAM, and DirectX 9.0c.
The video is a Geforce 8600 GT.
The .Net framework 2.0 SP1 is installed (and updated).

Any ideas at all?

cheers,
Warwick
I am also encountering the same problem - same error message.
Yea, I have the same problem as everyone above. I am running;
XP SP2, 4GB of RAM, and DirectX 9.0C, Geforce 9800GTX SLI
.Net framework is 2.0.

I just reinstalled windows XP because it was getting really buggy. What's strange is that it worked flawlessly before. No I never had SP3 and I don't plan on touching it.
