Hi guys,

I have installed the game multiple times (using both the GOG installer and manually) and each time the download seems to be successful, but each time I start to play I get an error message that essentially says "this path is denied". Any body have possible solutions?

Well, not too much to go on, but let's see...

What version of Windows (assuming you are using Windows) are you trying to run it on? If you're installing it on Win 7, make sure you run it as an Administrator.

Next, make sure you have the Microsoft .Net Framework installed. The launcher needs this to load the game.

If you've already tried both of those and it still doesn't work, post some additional information about your system. It might help us narrow down a possible reason.

Also, does the game load at all or does it crash after the launcher loads?
Hey Guys,
I actually had the same problem as op. I downloaded the game no problem, but whenever I try to run it, I get the message that access to the home directory is denied. I had updated drivers and net. framework, so I couldn't figure out why Raptor was giving me trouble, but the other or 20 or so games I own on GoG work fine!

Well, the problem was a lot simpler than I thought. The default desktop icon and shortcut led to the wrong application. It took me to the setup application, which I couldn't seem to launch the game from. But when I went to the Raptor home directory and just double-clicked RapWin instead of Raptor and it ran fine.

Hope that helps, and happy hunting!
Are you using Windows Vista or 7 and did you install the game in the Program Files folder? If so, that could be the problem. If the game tries to save a config or save file to that folder, Windows will block it because Program Files is a protected folder. I had the problem that Raptor didn't save and I fixed it by installing the game outside the Program Files folder (in my case on an other drive).
Installing the game to some other directory than the default one (Program Files) worked for me. You can change the installation directory from the Options-menu in the Installer. I put mine under Documents and it works now!
Right click > Properties > Compatibility > Check Run As Administrator.

You're welcome.
