Apparently according to some posts the original rainbow played in-game music from the CD during levels.

This is true, the game would feature cues from time to time. The example I imagine most players are familiar with: having had half your team wiped, the silence thereafter would slowly be replaced by a faint trumpet and string section.

How does the R6 directory look?
yeah the superb menu music is missing...

Confirmed. Just received game 2 disc case and installed r6 and eagle watch mission pack and music is there. It is on the CD. The crosshair is also fixed.

r6 full soundtrack is on the cd and E.W. 16 tracks

It has to be in the CD drive for it to work.

looking at the crosshair, I am also scratching my head wondering if GoG is using the low or medium res install version instead of full, since installer gave me 3 choices.
