I recently downloaded and installed the original Rainbow Six game onto my Windows 8/8.1 laptop. I booted it up as is from disk, and it worked fine until I tried to load a training course. Then, I got a "RainbowSix.exe has stopped working" error message and a CTD. Since then, every time I try to play it (including fresh installs and compatibility settings), I get the same message and a crash.

Help!

TBH you're probably best raising a ticket with GOG. I've exactly the same issue and I am busy updating graphics/directx drivers etc. I hate to say it but I'm not too optimistic this will work with my machine.
