Hello! Lately I've been having a weird problem with Raiden Legacy. The game seems to freeze whenever transitioning to a new menu. For example, pressing 'Click to Start' on the title menu will freeze everything for a few moments. Then, selecting one of the games will cause an even longer freeze. It makes just getting into a game really long. The actual game works fine, it's just the menus that freeze up. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling/restarting computer, nothing has worked. Does anyone know a solution? Thanks!

Windows 10 64 bit
GTX 570
i5 3570k
8GB RAM

I have exactely the same problem

edit :
I've just unistalled the entire game completely,
said yes to the uninstaller when he pompted me if I wanted to delmete everything including savegames.
Installed it agai no auto-updates ( i use galaxy)
and it seem to work just fine and I'm here sitting in from of my computer wandering what happened

Try to disable Windows Defender (or any antivirus for that matter) and see if the freezing problems stop. It did the trick for me!

I just bought the game and I'm having the same problem.

Using Win10, x64.

I created exclusions for the entire Raiden Legacy folder for my antivirus and Windows Defender.
I uninstalled and installed version 1.0, disabling updates.
I tried the 2015 update.
I tried several compatibility settings. Running as administrator does nothing.
I tried many AMD Radeon software settings.

I can't figure it out.

My graphics are RX 580.
Windows 10 64 bit

I am also having laggy menus. It's also stupid that I can't navigate the menus using my controller.

The games themselves are fantastic but how did they screw up the menu so badly? Were they even trying?

GOG should in fact be bugging DotEmu to port the updates that it has applied to the Steam version of the game to the GOG version. The Steam version has an entirely new menu system (which fixes the aforementioned freezing problems), online play, and fixes all of the frame rate stuttering and audio crackling issues.

Here's how I got past this problem - it seems to be entirely related to GOG Galaxy.

Go to Manage Installation -> Configure -> untick the box "Automatically update to newest version", and that's it.

Hope this works for you all.

No. None of the suggestions in this thread works. I tried with Galaxy and previous versions, I tried without Galaxy with the offline installer.

The port is garbage and the menus keep on freezing all the time. Tried on several different computers. It is just the game. It is garbage.
