I got this game yesterday and I just can not get a 360 controller to work with it. Has anyone managed to get a 360 controller to work with this game on pc at all?

I've tried the following 360 controllers-

Afterglow 360 pad
Mad Catz SF4 fight pad
Mad Catz SF4 TE fight stick

and none of them work with this game, they're not even recognised by the game.

I also have a Retro-Bit Saturn usb wired pad which works in generic Xinput mode and a Hori XBone pad which also works but they're both useless for playing shoot 'em ups with.

joy2key and other workarounds aren't an option in this case.

Ok, I sorted this by using XInputPlus to write a .dll that is put in the same folder where the game's .exe is. Restart your pc and you should now be able to use 360 controllers.
