Played well at first. Now controls freeze up every minute or so for a fraction of a second to a couple of seconds. On cars like audi tdi and formula 1000 cars on some tracks.

Win 8 64 bit
amd 1055t
hd 5850
8 gigs 1600 ram
Samsung 830 drive.
Thrustmaster steering wheel

Tried disabling cores, running at lowest resolution, and compatibility mode. Did not help.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There is a problem with CM games in which they write a huge file(up to 4gb) on your main hdd. This can sometimes cause troubles with stuttering and I know at least on my system (where i have a single hdd dedicated to windows and use the other hdds for installs) This can be fixed by using dirlinker and pointing it to a different hdd. I think there is also a way of disabling the replay file being created altogether. Maybe this could help?

Isn't the replay an integral part of GRID, though, what with it's Flashback feature?
I think I found the problem. Downloaded driver for "f430 ffb" from thustmaster "Package 2009_FFD_2" My wheel "fgt 3-in-1 rumble force" not listed as supported but seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks for trying to help. Much appreciated.
