Hello everyone.

I vaguely remember that in QFG1 EGA version, there was F4 command which toggled walking speed. But in GOG version there's nothing like it. So anyone know about this? Perhaps my memory is deceiving me...
Edit: Misread the question, don't mind me.

I dont remember a toggle. But you should be able to change it by pressing + & - on the keyboard.
I remember not being able to use the keypad, had to press ctrl (plus) = and ctrl (plus) -
I think I also remembeer the EGA one having that toggle, though in the second one it was changed to character detail (I think). Not sure about the GOG.com version, but it is possible that it was changed either from the unofficial patch, or for the anthology.
Now to see if I can find the original somewhere to verify it...
This was in the original QFG 1 back when it was called Hero's Quest. It was removed either when they renamed it Quest for Glory or when they repackaged in for the QFG Anthology (games 1-4).
Do you mean the 'Faster Animation", "Slower Animation", and "Normal Animation" under the 'Game Tab'? Those are controled by the +, -, and = buttons. It changes the speed of the game.

No, he means the "Fast Walk Speed" which is different from the Animation Speed. A few of the old Sierra games had it, with Hero's Quest being the only one I can recall, though it is possible that it existed in King's Quest 1, Police Quest 1 or Space Quest 1, but I truly can't recall if any of those had it.
Fast Walk Speed was one of the best ways to escape from Saurus Rex, since without it you were too slow, even if you were running.

I was more specifically referring to Shanbar's post;

"I dont remember a toggle. But you should be able to change it by pressing + & - on the keyboard.

+ and - are tied to the faster and slower animation options. It speeds up and slows down the games graphics.

BTW, I did check Hero's Quest, it does have a "High Speed Hero" and "Normal Speed Hero" F4 option under the Game tab.

It is missing from the Quest for Glory 1 version.
